6. Project Management and Site Access

6.1 Oversight

Depending on the size and complexity of a project, a dedicated project manager may be appointed.

6.2 Client Obligations

Clients must ensure reasonable and safe access to the site, availability of utilities (water and electricity), and secure removal of valuables prior to commencement.

6.3 Delays

Delays caused by restricted access, late instructions, scope changes, or third-party interference may result in revised timelines and additional costs.

7. Payments and Billing

7.1 Payment Terms

Payment schedules are detailed in the quotation or agreement and may include deposits, progress payments, and final settlement.

7.2 Late Payment

Failure to pay within agreed terms may result in work suspension, recovery costs, or legal action. Ownership of supplied materials may remain with Solar Contractor until payment is received in full.

8. Standards and Compliance

All work is carried out to professional, commercial, and insurance-grade standards, in line with NHBRC requirements and applicable South African building regulations. Compliance certificates are issued where required, including electrical and plumbing certification.

9. Defects and Warranties

Any workmanship defects must be reported in writing within a reasonable timeframe. Warranties exclude:

  • Fair wear and tear
  • Client-supplied materials
  • Damage caused by third parties
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Structural movement or conditions beyond our control

10. Insurance and Limitation of Liability

Solar Contractor maintains appropriate contractor and business insurance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, pre-existing defects, or delays caused by weather events, supply disruptions, or force majeure.

11. Health, Safety, and Site Conduct

We operate managed and safety-conscious work sites. Clients must prevent unauthorised access to work areas and comply with safety instructions. We reserve the right to suspend work if unsafe conditions are identified.

12. Intellectual Property

13. Privacy and Personal Data
